A work trip sent Sarah to Ashley's home state of Connecticut, where we had a chance to meet up for coffee and a chat.

What bloomed from our frustration with our own health journeys is Good Habits ND, a place for everyday people to come together and learn, share, and grow.

Ashley Burkman, ND

The idea that food can be used as medicine is what led Dr. Ashley to naturopathic medicine. From her struggles with chronic skin ailments and fatigue, she learned how food and digestive health are paramount to health.

An Iowa native, Dr. Ashley enjoys searching for new hiking trails to conquer, upcycling furniture, creating high protein baking recipes, and watching the two lights of her life, her twin boys Calvin and Carter, grow!

Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine, National University of Health Sciences

Neurology Fellow, Association for the Advancement of Restorative Medicine

Sarah Ouano, ND

Dr. Sarah and her wife became parents by way of reciprocal IVF and adoption from foster care, so they know quite a bit about how modern families are made! They live in the Mojave desert with their two awesome (and incredibly high energy) toddlers, two pups, and one Lionhead bunny.

Dr. Sarah is passionate about making naturopathic medicine accessible because she knows what it's like to struggle with affording quality care for her family. She is constantly writing and rewriting her own health story, and is so excited to be supporting you in doing the same.
